Spain remained the most searched country for flights by UK travellers in the peak holiday month of August, followed by domestic destinations.
In 3rd place in a league table from flights comparison site Skyscanner.net was the US – the only country outside of Europe to make the top ten. Turkey was fourth, followed by Italy, France, Greece, Germany, Portugal & Cyprus. Malaga and Alicante were the top individual destinations, while searches for flights to Tenerife rose two places against July to number three, overtaking both Palma and Dalaman.
